The Voras ski centre has opened
The first runs are already open. What to expect this season, and how to get up there from the village.
The Voras Kaimaktsalan ski centre has opened its first runs and the season is officially under way. There is already enough snow up top for the main descents, and the lifts are running normally at weekends.
From Palaios Agios Athanasios you drive up to the ski centre in a few minutes. The road is cleared, but in winter chains or proper winter tyres are not optional — keep them in the boot even if the morning starts clear.
The village is the closest settlement to the slopes, and that is the whole difference: you come back for lunch or a coffee without a half-hour drive, and by the afternoon you are already in front of the fire. Both of our properties have private parking on the grounds, so your gear stays next to your door.
